Purpose and Extent

These terms and conditions apply to the delivery of books and services from ABook.lk. Making a purchase from us means that you accept the terms and conditions. We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions with immediate effect and without notice for orders already placed.

Payment

Our prices include VAT. Shipping costs are charged separately. Full payment is required when you place an order with us. We use Stripe to accept payment for all our orders. Stripe is a secure payment system certified to PCI standards. You can find out more about Stripe here.

Delivery

As soon as we receive your order, we will start creating your personalised book(s). We use a courier service and aim to deliver your order within 8-10 working days.

Any times stated for manufacturing and delivery are estimates. We will make every reasonable effort to ensure your order is delivered within the time given, but we do not accept liability for any loss or expenses if the order is delayed.

You have the right to cancel your order and receive a full refund if:

• We have not delivered it within 30 days after the order was placed.
• Your order was received in a damaged condition, providing you sign for the order as damaged and contact us immediately. Accepting the delivery means you agree the order is in a satisfactory condition. We cannot refund or replace orders that were accepted as satisfactory on delivery.

Retention of Title

All books remain the property of ABook.lk until we have received full payment. After purchasing from us, we retain the right to use your produced work for promotional and marketing purposes.

ABook.lk retains the ownership of the text in our books and on our websites and marketing materials. It may not be copied or reproduced.

Errors

All our books are individually printed to your specification. Failure to provide us with the correct information means your order could contain errors. We are unable to accept any returns due to mistakes made when placing your order and are not liable for these errors.

We make every effort to describe our books as accurately as possible but we cannot guarantee that the colours will exactly match those shown on your internet browser. Illustrations of characters may vary from those shown on our websites.

You have the right to cancel your order and receive a full refund in the unlikely event that there is an error in the manufacturing of your book(s), provided you contact us within 7 days of receiving your order. This does not include errors made when placing your order.

Limited liability

ABook.lk do not accept liability for any damage, costs, loss or expenses, both directly and indirectly caused, by reason of events outside of our reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to; power failure, failure of equipment, government action, strikes and industrial action, or an act attributable to nature.

In the case of any delays or mistakes with your order, Abook.lk shall not be held liable for any direct or indirect loss. This includes loss of profits and loss of data.  ABook.lk is only liable for damages as a result of gross negligence or intentional actions.
